Salt Lake City - Day 4

Margie and Barry's good friend, Steve, and his son, Ted  had come to town to visit for the day and were heading to Timpanogas National Park for the day.  Nikki and I decided to join them since Stan and Ethan would be at baseball.

Timapanogas is a National Park located south of Salt Lake near Lehi.  It's in a beautiful canyon and is known for it's cave that you can hike to and go through on a tour.  It's similar to Kartchner Caverns.

We hiked up to the cave.  And up is not used lightly.  It was a mile and a half hike up the mountain that took over an hour to climb.  It wasn't super difficult as the trail was paved, but it did get steep in places.
We had a good time, though on the hike and we couldn't ask for better weather.

When we got to the top, we waited for our scheduled tour time.  The cave was cold inside and there were beautiful rock formations.

After the tour, we descended the mountain in about 30 minutes and met Stan and Ethan for dinner at The Pie, a University of Utah staple known for it's excellent pizza.  It's under a pharmacy and it's the kind of place with writing all over the walls and looks like it would be a lot of fun after a football game.

We were all exhausted after a long day.  Ethan even fell asleep on the way home.
