While Nikki went with the rest of the family to Sea World, Stan, Ethan and I chose to just drive around San Diego. Unfortunately, I didn't think about taking photos on this day.
We had a late start in the morning. By 10:00, Stan and I figured it was time for Ethan to get out of bed, so we got him up. He really wanted to go to breakfast at one of his favorite places in San Diego...The Broken Yolk. So, we headed there for a big brunch.
Ethan and his fine art of eating a pancake...cutting a hole in the middle, removing that part of the pancake, and then adding syrup in the hole. (the one and only photo I took)
After eating too much, we headed up the coast, along La Jolla and del Mar. Then we headed inland to Escondido and the Orfila Vineyards and bought a nice bottle of wine. Then we headed back to downtown San Diego and went to Seaport Village to do a little shopping.
We got home in time to make dinner and watch the tired Sea World goers arrive home tired and sunburned, so it was a take-it-easy kind of night and the end of a pleasant low-key day for us.
